What is the job market like in Idaho?
What is the job market like in North Idaho and the greater Coeur d'Alene area?
A recent News Release by the Idaho Department of Labor stated that the Idaho job market was the third fastest growing job market in the Nation.
The reported unemployment rate for the State of Idaho was below 3 percent for the 14th consecutive month and below 2.8 percent for the third consecutive month!
The leading job growth occurred in the industries of construction, manufacturing, other services, financial activities, education and health services, and leisure and hospitality.
Information and government were the only two sectors that experienced job declines.
Of all the cities in the state, Coeur d'Alene experienced the greatest percentage of job growth for 2018. Coeur d'Alene saw an increase of 900 jobs at a 1.4 percent growth rate for the year.
