Idaho homes see most equity growth in the nation

A recent article by CBNC reported that home equity growth for the nation as a whole was seeing positive growth.

The article stated, "the average homeowner with a mortgage gained $4,900 in home equity in just one year"

Frank Nothaft, chief economist for CoreLogic said, “Borrower equity rose to an all-time high in the first half of 2019 and has more than doubled since the housing recovery started.”

Most notable were the top three states seeing the fastest equity growth in the nation.

Those states were:

Idaho... homeowner equity increased by an average of $22,100

Wyoming... homeowners gained an average of $20,400

Nevada... gained an average of $16,800.

The article stated, "Homeowners in California, Washington state and Louisiana saw minimal gains in equity, and those in Connecticut and North Dakota actually lost home equity."
